SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s basketball team will travel to St. Olaf on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest. The Gusties enter the contest 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the MIAC while the Oles are 4-4 overall with a 3-0 mark in conference.
The Series
Wednesday’s game marks the 154th meeting between Gustavus and St. Olaf on the hardwood, with the Gusties holding a 95-58 advantage in the all-time series. The two teams last met on Jan. 27, 2018 in Northfield, Minn. with the Oles prevailing 65-57.
Scouting the Oles
After starting the season 0-4, the Oles are winners of four straight, including three MIAC victories. So far on the season, Austin Korba leads all Oles averaging 19.1 points per game to go along with 5.3 rebounds. Dominic Bledsoe and Troy Diggins Jr. also average double figures for St. Olaf with Diggins Jr. averaging a team leading 6.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. As a team the Oles are averaging a MIAC leading 7.8 steals per contest, with Bledsoe leading the way with 1.9.
