Following the game, coach Laura Burnett-Kurie said, “We are proud of how we performed today. We played our brand of soccer, moved the ball well, and controlled the tempo of the game. Soccer is tough sometimes with results, because when the score doesn’t go our way, we just have to look back on our performance, and today we were proud of it. We stuck to our guns and played well and despite the outcome, we walked off the field with our heads held high knowing that we’re a talented team. Now we’re focused on finishing the season strong and continuing to build for a strong future.”
The Gusties will next be in action when they host Hamline next Wednesday at 4 p.m.
