Women’s Tennis Advances Two Singles, One Doubles after Day Two of ITA Regional

Day two of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships wrapped up Saturday with Gustavus advancing two singles players and one doubles team to the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds, respectively. Ginger Valentine and Bri Hartmann will play in the singles quarterfinals at 9 a.m. Sunday. Valentine will face Natalie Wijesinghe of UW-Eau Claire and Hartmann will take on Grace Riermann of Bethel. The doubles team of Hartman and Lilly Hartman will take on Maggie Riermann and Grace Riermann of Bethel in the semifinals.

Women’s Soccer Falls in Overtime to St. Thomas

The Gustavus women's soccer team traveled to St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon and dropped a 2-1 overtime contest to the Tommies.

Men’s Soccer Ties No. 4 St. Thomas 1-1

The Gustavus men’s soccer team battled No. 4-ranked St. Thomas to a 1-1 double overtime draw Saturday evening. The Gusties move to 5-1-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the MIAC, while the Tommies move to 5-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the league.

Men’s Golf in Tenth After Day One of Twin Cities Classic

The Gustavus men's golf team got off to a slow start on day one of the Twin Cities Classic by finishing in tenth place.

Football loses at Bethel 31-0

The Gustavus football team suffered a 31-0 loss at Bethel on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties fall to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the MIAC, while the Royals improve to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the league.

Volleyball Celebrates 50th Season with Straight-Set Win over Bethel, Holtan Reaches 4,000 Assists

During its 50th season celebration Saturday, the No. 12 Gustavus volleyball team defeated Bethel in straight sets at Gus Young Court, improving to 12-2 overall and 3-0 in the MIAC. The Gusties won by scores of 25-13, 25-21, and 25-15, handing the Royals their first conference loss of the season (12-3, 2-1 MIAC). Nora Holtan (Sr., Rochester, Minn.) finished with 27 assists and moved into second place in the Gustavus record books with 4,023 career assists.

Women’s Tennis Advances Six Singles, Three Doubles at Day One of ITA Regional

The Gustavus women’s tennis team is playing host to the ITA Midwest Regional Championships this weekend and completed the first day of action on a brisk Friday morning and afternoon. Six Gusties advanced to the round of 32 with wins on Friday, including Lilly Hartman, Ginger Valentine, Anna Stutz, Ally Thorson, Simona Ptotckova, and Bri Hartmann, who is the defending region champion.

Football Heads to Bethel Saturday

The Gustavus football team travels to Bethel University 1 p.m. Saturday for its second MIAC matchup of the season. The Gusties enter the game 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the MIAC after losing to Saint John's 45-13 last Saturday, while the Royals are fresh off their bye week with a 2-0 overall record. 

Women’s Soccer Travels to St. Thomas Saturday

The Gustie women's soccer teams will head up to St. Paul on Saturday for a MIAC contest with St. Thomas that will start at 1 p.m.

Gustavus set to Host 2018 ITA Women’s Midwest Regional Championships

Gustavus Adolphus College is set to host the 2018 ITA Midwest Regional Championships in Saint Peter, Minn. this weekend. The tournament runs from Friday, September 21 through Monday, September 24 and will feature 28 of the top teams in the region at eight sites throughout Saint Peter and Mankato.
