Women’s Golf Set to Host Division III Classic

SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustie women’s golf team is back in action this weekend as it hosts the Division III Classic at The Jewel in Lake City, Minn. The tournament consists of 13 teams from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa and will be a two-day event. The teams include: Bethel, Carleton, Central, Gustavus, Luther, Saint Benedict, St. Catherine, St. Olaf, St. Thomas, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Stout, and Wartburg.

In their two meets this season, Gustavus has three women who have been averaging under 80 strokes per round. Morgan Bleyhl (Jr., Elk River, Minn.) is leading the Gusties with an average score of 77.5 and has posted one top-ten finish. First-years Emily Kratz (Fy., Edina, Minn.), and Erin Ericson (Fy., Onalaska, Wis.) round out the Gustavus top three with Kratz averaging a 79 and receiving one top-ten finish and Ericson averaging 79.5 strokes per round.

Play will be begin tomorrow in Lake City at 11 a.m.
