BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Athlete of the Week award winner for women’s tennis on Tuesday and Gustavus’s Briana Hartmann (Jr., Owatonna, Minn.) was honored with the distinction.

Hartmann went undefeated at the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles positions as the Gusties earned three wins throughout the weekend en route to earning her first career MIAC weekly accolade.

While remaining unbeaten during conference play, Hartmann’s play was crucial in the Gusties’ MIAC wins over St. Thomas and Carleton, as Gustavus handed both squads their first MIAC losses of the season.

Gustavus (11-7, 6-0 MIAC) is set to close out its regular season next weekend with four conference matches throughout the weekend, beginning with an 11 a.m. match versus Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn. on Saturday.
