BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Gustavus men’s tennis student-athlete Mohanad Alhouni (Sr., Tripoli, Libya) won both of his doubles matches and split his singles at the No. 1 spot, as the Gusties lost 4-3 at Division I UW-Green Bay and then defeated No. 40-ranked UW-Whitewater 8-1. Alhouni took his Division I singles opponent to three sets in his first loss in more than a month, and rebounded the next day with a decisive 6-1, 6-2 win. Alhouni and doubles partner Patrick Whaling (Jr., Manakin Sabot, Va.) won both of their matches over the weekend, starting with a 6-4 decision against a D-I opponent last Saturday. For his performance, Alhouni was named MIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week.
