Men’s Tennis Splits Opening Day In Florida

The No. 16-ranked Gustavus men’s tennis team started its season with a win and a loss Wednesday as a split squad. The Gusties defeated Southeastern University of the NAIA 7-2 and fell to Division II Palm Beach Atlantic 6-3.

Men’s Basketball Downs Macalester 103-59

The Gustavus men's basketball team opened a three game home stand Wednesday evening at Gus Young Court, breaking triple digits during its highest offensive output of the season, defeating Macalester College 103-59 for its second consecutive Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory.

After Slow Start Women’s Hoops Takes Down Macalester 76-54

The Gustavus women’s basketball team got off to a slow start Wednesday at Macalester, leading by just five points at halftime, but made some second half adjustments to capture a 76-54 victory. Miranda Rice (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) was a strong presence throughout the game, scoring 16 points in the first half and finishing with 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor as the Gusties improve to 18-4 overall and 12-3 in the MIAC.

Women’s Tennis Opens 2018 Campaign With Florida Matches

The No. 29-ranked Gustavus women’s tennis team is set to begin its 2018 spring campaign tomorrow afternoon at Saint Leo University, followed by a match at Rollins University on Friday.

Women’s Basketball Seeks Fourth Straight Win Tonight At Macalester

The Gustavus women’s basketball team travels to Macalester College tonight for a 7 p.m. tipoff. The Gusties are looking for their fourth-straight victory as they enter the contest 17-4 overall and 11-3 in the MIAC. The Scots are 8-13 overall and 4-10 in the league.

The Gustavus men’s basketball team is set to begin a three-game home stretch Wednesday evening with a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup against Macalester College, in search of a series sweep. The Gusties (11-11, 9-8 MIAC) and the Scots (2-19, 1-15 MIAC) are set to tipoff at 7 p.m. from Gus Young Court.

Men’s Tennis Returns Veteran Group As 2018 Season Begins In Florida

One season removed from its first NCAA quarterfinal appearance since 2009 and in the wake of an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national singles title in October, the Gustavus men’s tennis team has turned the page and has its sights set on a brand-new spring season. The Gusties, winners of 295 consecutive MIAC matches and 29 straight league titles, are aware of the target on their backs and are taking the necessary steps to face the challenges ahead.

Sharbono Buzzer-Beater Gives Gusties 69-67 Victory At Concordia

The Gustavus men's basketball secured a 69-67 win at Concordia College Monday evening on a last second shot from Riley Sharbono (Jr., Marshall, Minn.), snapping a four-game losing skid during the final regular season road contest.

The Gustavus men’s basketball team is set to wrap its its regular season road schedule with Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup Monday evening, traveling to Moorhead, Minn. to take on Concordia College, in search of a series sweep. The Gusties (10-11, 8-8 MIAC) and the Cobbers (5-15, 3-12 MIAC) are set to tipoff at 7 p.m. from Memorial Auditorium.

Rooney, Klein Named January Student-Athletes Of The Month

Men's track and field hurdler and jumper Taylor Rooney (Fy., Andover, Minn.) and women's hockey forward Kaitlyn Klein (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.) have been selected as the Gustavus Adolphus College January Male and Female Student-Athletes-of-the-Month, presented by Thrivent Financial and voted on by the Gustavus Sports Information Department.
