Hartmann Ranks Fifth In ITA Opening Rankings

Oracle and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the first Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division III National Singles and Doubles Rankings of the 2017-18 season recently, with Gustavus women’s tennis player Briana Hartmann (Jr., Owatonna, Minn.) ranking fifth nationally and second regionally. 

TEMPE, Ariz. – Oracle and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the first Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division III National Singles and Doubles Rankings of the 2017-18 season recently, with Gustavus women’s tennis player Briana Hartmann (Jr., Owatonna, Minn.) ranking fifth nationally and second regionally. 

Hartmann led the Gusties with a decorated fall campaign, headlined by a ITA Midwest Regional singles title. As one of eight region champions, Hartmann captured the 41st All-America award in the history of Gustavus women’s tennis and the first since 2011. Advancing to the ITA Oracle Cup, Hartmann earned the consolation title, capping her fall season with an 8-1 record.
