BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Volleyball Athlete of the Week awards this afternoon, with Gustavus setter Nora Holtan (Jr., Rochester, Minn.) earning the Setter of the Week honor.

The Gusties earned two wins over the week, snapping a two-game losing skid with a five-set thriller over Augsburg University on Wednesday, and a sweep over Saint Mary’s University on Saturday to clinch the No. 3 seed for the MIAC Playoffs.

Holtan guided the Gustavus offense, averaging 10 assists per set and posting two straight double-double performances. Against the Auggies, Nora compiled 47 assists and 17 digs while owning a .350 attack percentage. This week’s award stands as Holtan’s eighth career Setter of the Week honor, and her second during the 2017 season.

The Black and Gold hosts Augsburg University tomorrow evening in a MIAC Playoff quarterfinal match. The No. 3-seeded Gusties entertain the No. 6 Auggies at 7 p.m. at Gus Young Court.
