ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s soccer begins a three-game slate this evening, heading over to New Ulm, Minn. this evening to take on Martin Luther College at 5 p.m. prior to hosting two more non-conference opponents this weekend in Luther College and Wartburg College.
The Gusties are coming off a successful weekend up north as they returned with two shutouts, defeating the University of Wisconsin-Superior 1-0 and the College of St. Scholastica 1-0. Goalkeeper Matt Bateman (Jr., Savage, Minn.) picked up his sixth and seventh career shutouts in net en route to earning MIAC Athlete of the Week laurels.
