Women’s Tennis Wraps Up Regular Season This Weekend

ST. PETER, Minn. – After claiming a pair of shutouts on Sunday, the Gustavus women’s tennis team wraps up the regular season Friday and Saturday. The Gusties host St. Olaf at 4 p.m. Friday and then close out the regular season at noon Saturday at St. Thomas. Gustavus has secured a spot in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoffs and is now jostling for seeding. The Gusties enter the weekend 15-7 overall and 7-1 in the MIAC, which has them in third place behind Carleton and St. Thomas, who both own a perfect 8-0 record in the league. The Knights and Tommies square off Sunday. Bethel, St. Catherine, and Saint Mary’s are the other three teams in the MIAC playoffs, which takes place May 3, 5, and 7 at the high seeds.

Last time out: The Gusties got back to their winning ways Sunday at home, shutting out St. Catherine and Saint Benedict 9-0.
