Softball Heads To Arizona To Compete In Tucson Invitational

The No. 20-ranked Gustavus softball team (4-0) is headed south to participate in its annual spring trip, which this year is in Tucson, Ariz. at the Tucson Invitational. The Gusties will compete in seven games (one JV) at Lincoln Park's eight-field complex throughout the four-day trip.

Alhouni, Stanczyk Sweep MIAC Tennis Athlete-Of-The-Week Awards

Gustavus tennis players Mohanad Alhouni (So., Tripoli, Libya) and Lizzy Stanczyk (Sr., Plymouth, Wis.) have swept the MIAC weekly awards as the Athletes-of-the-Week for their performances at the Stag-Hen Invite and Trinity University Invite, respectively.

Women’s Tennis Falls To No. 24 Trinity 8-1

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis team fell to No. 24-ranked Trinity University by a score of 8-1 on Monday at the Butch Newman Tennis Complex. The loss drops the Gusties to 9-4 overall and concludes their time in the Trinity Invite held Saturday through today.

New Baseball Coaching Staff Brings Wealth Of Experience

The Gustavus baseball team enters the 2016 season with a revamped panel of coaches hoping to breathe new life into a program that’s seen struggles in recent years. The College hired former player, coach, and Gustavus Athletics Hall of Fame member Brad Baker - a St. Peter native - last June, and the excitement for what’s in store for the program has picked up steam as the Gusties prepare for the new season with a clean slate.

Women’s Golf Takes Sixth Of Eight At George Fox Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's golf team remained in sixth place to finish competition at the George Fox Invite being played at The Lakes Course over the weekend in Peoria, Ariz. The Gusties improved three strokes on the tournament's second day to finish with a combined shot total of 645 (+77), but it wasn't enough to catch fifth place Olivet College which finished with a score of 638 (+70). Host George Fox won the tourney with a score of 596 (+28).

Women’s Tennis Remains Perfect On Texas Trip With Wins Over No. 37 East Texas Baptist, Texas Lutheran

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis team continued its solid play on Sunday by defeating two more opponents to remain undefeated at 3-0 in the Trinity University Invite. The Gusties took down No. 37 East Texas Baptist 7-2 in the tournament's morning session before defeating Texas Lutheran 8-1 later in the afternoon. With the wins, Gustavus moves to 9-3 overall.

Women’s Golf In Sixth Following Day One At George Fox Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's golf team is in sixth place out of eight teams following day one of the George Fox Invite being played at the Lakes Course. The Gusties shot 324 (+40) as a team and are eight shots behind fifth place Olivet College. Host school George Fox leads the tournament field with a team score of 297 (+13) following the first day of play.

Men’s Tennis Splits With No. 6 Case Western, No. 26 Texas-Tyler

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team continued its string of competition against nationally-ranked opponents on Saturday, splitting matches with No. 6 Case Western Reserve and No. 26 University of Texas at Tyler. The Gusties fell to Case 6-3 on Saturday morning before taking down UT-Tyler 5-4 later Saturday afternoon. The split brings the Gusties to 12-3 overall and concludes their competition in the Stag-Hen Invite being played at Claremont-Mudd Scripps.

Sarah Swanson Places 17th In Shot Put At NCAA Championships

Gustavus women’s track & field throwing specialist Sarah Swanson (Sr., Fairbanks, Alaska) took 17th place in the shot put Saturday at the NCAA Championships, hosted by Grinnell College. Swanson posted a mark of 12.21 meters (40-0.75) on her third toss after fouling on both the first and second throws.

Women’s Tennis Takes Down Mary Hardin Baylor To Open Texas Trip

The Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis team opened its Texas schedule and spring outdoor season with a 9-0 win over Mary Hardin Baylor on Saturday morning at Trinity University. The win bumps the Gusties to 7-3 overall.
