Men’s Soccer Hosts Concordia Today On Senior Day

ST. PETER, Minn. – After more than a week off, the Gustavus men’s soccer team is set to host its final regular season game at the Gustie Soccer Field today as it takes on Concordia College at 3:30 p.m. The Gusties are tied for fifth place in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference standings with a 4-3-1 league record (5-8-1 overall), while the Cobbers are in last place at 1-8 in the conference and 6-9-1 overall.

Live online coverage of today’s game begins immediately after the women’s game versus Concordia, which begins at 1 p.m.

As is tradition at Gustavus, the final home regular season game is designated as Senior Day and a special tribute is made to the individuals who have dedicated themselves to Gustavus men’s soccer for the past four years. This year, the athletic department, Head Coach Mike Middleton, the coaching staff, parents and fans salute the two seniors who have represented the Gustavus men’s soccer program with pride and class throughout their collegiate careers. This year’s group of seniors includes Henry Brose (Hudson, Wis.) and Patrick Roth (Stillwater, Minn.).

Brose is set to play in the 63rd match of his career today, having started in 14. Throughout his Gustavus career, Brose has tallied six goals and five assists for 17 points, including one game-winning goal. Henry is the son of Mike and Annie Brose.

Roth is set to play in the 70th match of his career today, having started in 39. Throughout his Gustavus career, Roth has posted 18 goals and 10 assists for 46 points, including three game-winning goals. Patrick is the son of Alan and Sandra Roth.
