A year ago, the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer preseason coaches' poll pegged Gustavus Adolphus College to finish 11th in the 12-team league. To everyone's surprise, except maybe their own, the Gusties earned a second place finish, just one point behind conference champ St. Thomas. GAC then emerged as the league's Playoff champions and secured the school's first NCAA berth since 1996.

Football Hosts Concordia For Homecoming Saturday, Celebrates 100th Season

The Gustavus Adolphus College football team continues Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play Saturday with its Homecoming game at 1 p.m. against Concordia College. The Gusties enter the game with a 3-1 overall record and 1-1 mark in the MIAC after losing 42-40 at Hamline last Saturday, while the Cobbers at 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the league after defeating Bethel 21-13 on Sept. 17. Concordia was idle last week.

Men’s Tennis Hosts ITA Midwest Regionals And Midwest Open

Gustavus Adolphus College is set to host the 2016 Men's USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Championships and the 2016 Midwest Open in St. Peter, Minnesota this weekend. The tournaments will run from Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 2 and will feature 30 of the top teams in the region at seven sites throughout St. Peter and Mankato.

Volleyball Drops First MIAC Match Since 2014 In Four Sets At Augsburg

In a battle of the top two volleyball teams in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Augsburg was able to take advantage of its home court advantage in a four-set victory, 28-26, 25-23, 17-25, 25-16, over Gustavus on Wednesday night. The loss snaps a 16-match win streak within MIAC play and an eight-match win streak overall, dropping the Gusties to 12-3 overall and 3-1 in the league. Augsburg improves to 10-6 overall and 4-0 in the MIAC.
