SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s tennis team concludes its regular season this weekend with three matches, with the Gusties hosting Martin Luther College (9 a.m.) and Carleton College (2 p.m.) on Saturday and traveling to Macalester College on Sunday at 1 p.m. Gustavus enters the weekend as the only undefeated team in the MIAC at 8-0, meaning wins over Carleton (8-1) and Macalester (1-7) would give the Black and Gold their second consecutive and 28th total MIAC Regular Season Championship.
Because of the possibility for high winds and rain, Saturday’s matches will be live streamed if played indoors. That link can be found here: Live Video Stream
Last season, Gustavus did not face Martin Luther, but defeated both Macalester and Carleton. The Gusties beat the Scots 9-0 on February 28, 2015, and took down the Knights in a 5-4 decision that came down to the wire on April 18, 2015. In that contest, with the match tied at 4-4, Gustavus’ Katie Aney earned a huge come-from-behind victory (1-6, 7-6, 10-8) at No. 5 singles to clinch the win.
