ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College tennis teams each compete against MIAC opponents on Saturday, with the men hosting Carleton College at 2 p.m. and the women heading to St. Joseph, Minn. for a matchup with the College of Saint Benedict at 1 p.m. Both squads enter Saturday’s matches undefeated in the conference, with the men at 8-0 and women at 7-0. A win over Carleton would guarantee the men their 28th consecutive MIAC Regular Season Championship and also clinch it the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference playoffs.

The men’s squad is most recently coming off a 1-1 weekend against nationally-ranked foes. Gustavus fell to No. 5 Chicago 7-2 this past Saturday, but rebounded with a 7-2 victory over No. 37 Kalamazoo.

The women earned two conference wins over St. Olaf and St. Thomas this past weekend. After taking down the Oles 8-1 on Saturday in Northfield, Minn., the Gusties returned home Sunday and beat the Tommies with an identical 8-1 score.
