The Gustavus men’s basketball team beat Simpson College 71-62 in its home opener Saturday night to improve to 1-1 on the season. The Gusties started the second half with the hot hand, going on a 19-6 run for their largest lead of the night at 53-33, propelling them to victory.

Women’s Basketball Suffers First Loss Of Season In 76-61 Defeat To UW-River Falls

After opening its season with two straight wins, the Gustavus Adolphus College women's basketball team suffered its first loss on Saturday when it fell 76-61 to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Gus Young Court. The loss drops the Gusties to 2-1 on the season, while UW-River Falls stays perfect at 4-0 in 2015.

Another Hat Trick: Eder Zdechlik leads Women’s Hockey To 4-1 Win Over Augsburg

Following Friday evening's 2-2 tie with Augsburg College in Minneapolis, the Gustavus Adolphus College women's hockey team took care of business Saturday with a 4-1 victory over the Auggies at Don Roberts Ice Rink. Senior forward Allison Eder-Zdechlik (Stillwater, Minn.) tallied the Gustie's second hat trick of the season in the victory, which pushed Gustavus to 2-1-2 overall and 2-1-1 in the MIAC.

Swimming & Diving To Host Second Annual Race For Grace On Saturday

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are set to host the second annual Grace Goblirsch Memorial Invitational on Saturday at the Vic Gustafson Pool. Gustavus feels privileged to host the Race For Grace, which honors former Gustie swimmer Grace Goblirsch who passed away on August 23, 2013 after losing a courageous eight-month battle with acute myelogenous leukemia.

Men’s Hockey Continues MIAC Play This Weekend Against Augsburg

The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey team is set to take on Augsburg College in a home-away series this weekend. The Gusties enter the series with a 1-3-2 overall record and 0-2 mark in the MIAC after getting swept in a two-game series with the University of St. Thomas last weekend. The Gusties lost 3-2 last Friday in Mendota Heights and then lost 2-1 on Saturday in St. Peter. The Auggies enter with a 3-3 overall record after defeating UW-Stout 4-1 last Friday and UW-River Falls 2-1 last Saturday.

Women’s Basketball Set To Open Home Schedule With Gustavus Classic This Weekend

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team will begin its 2015-16 home schedule this weekend when it hosts the Gustavus Classic at Gus Young Court on Friday and Saturday. Four teams will participate in the tournament, including Gustavus, Simpson College, UW-River Falls, and UW-Stout.
