ST. PETER, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s basketball schedule kicks off at 7 p.m. Wednesday as Gustavus hosts Saint Mary’s University at Gus Young Court. The Gusties enter the matchup with a 2-1 overall record after defeating Buena Vista 97-90 on Sunday in St. Peter. Five Gusties reached double figure points with Gary Cooper’s 20 leading the way. The Cardinals enter Wednesday’s game with an identical 2-1 overall record after dropping their last contest 85-68 at the College of St. Scholastica on Sunday. Saint Mary’s was held to 41.5-percent shooting from the field and was led by Wylie Ferron’s 12 points.
