Women’s Soccer To Face Wheaton In First Round Of NCAA Tournament

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) on Monday announced the 64-team field for its Division III Women’s Soccer Championship and Gustavus (13-6-1) is selected to face Wheaton College (15-6) in the first round at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) on Monday announced the 64-team field for its Division III Women’s Soccer Championship and Gustavus (13-6-1) is selected to face Wheaton College (15-6) in the first round at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Wheaton earned an automatic bid as the champion of the Collegiate Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, defeating Illinois Wesleyan 1-0.

The Gusties are in a regional bracket that also includes UW-Whitewater (17-4), Carroll (15-4-1), Illinois Wesleyan (18-2), Westminster (10-6-2), UW-La Crosse (12-6-2) and Pomona-Pitzer (11-8-1).
