INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) on Monday morning announced the 64-team field for its Division III Volleyball Championship and Gustavus (27-2) is selected to face the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (26-9) in the first round at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
UW-Eau Claire earned an at-large bid as a member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Blugolds lost in the first round of the conference tournament in five sets to UW-Stevens Point.
The Gusties are in a regional bracket that also includes UW-Whitewater (31-4), Northwestern-St. Paul (26-8), Wartburg (30-5), Saint Benedict (18-9), Bethel (22-9), and defending national champion Hope (24-6).
