Men’s Hockey Ties Hamline 3-3 In Shootout

For the second consecutive night the Gustavus men’s hockey team scored a late-game goal, this time to send it into overtime. But unlike last night’s game winner, the Gusties tied 3-3 Saturday in a shootout to last season’s MIAC Playoff champion Hamline at the MIAC Showcase.

Women’s Soccer Clinches No. 2 Seed In MIAC Playoffs With 1-0 Overtime Win Over Hamline

After suffering two straight conference defeats, the Gustavus Adolphus College women’s soccer team got itself back on track at the right time, as it secured a 1-0 overtime victory over Hamline University on Saturday afternoon at the Gustie Soccer Field. With the win, the Gusties conclude their regular season with an overall record of 11-6-1 and 8-3-0 in the MIAC. The win also secured Gustavus the No. 2 seed in the MIAC Playoffs, which begin Wednesday for the Gusties, who earned a first-round bye with Saturday’s win.

Women’s Cross Country Places Sixth At MIAC Championships

The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s cross country team placed sixth at the MIAC Championships on Saturday afternoon at Como Park. The Gusties tallied a team score of 150, which put them 21 points back of Macalester College, which placed fifth.

The Gustavus Adolphus College men's cross country team placed fifth at the MIAC Championships on Saturday afternoon at Como Park. The Gusties tallied a team score of 109, just 13 points back of Saint John's University, which placed second. St. Olaf College won the meet with a total of 34 points.

Playing in its final game of the 2015 season, the Gustavus Adolphus College men's soccer team concluded its year on a high note, as it earned a 2-1 victory over Hamline University on Saturday afternoon at the Gustie Soccer Field.

Volleyball Runs The MIAC Table 11-0 With Straight Set Win Over Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus volleyball team beat Saint Mary’s in straight sets 25-17, 25-21 and 25-23 Saturday afternoon to finish the regular season 25-2 overall and a perfect 11-0 in the MIAC. The decisive victory gave the Gusties their 25th straight win, an undisputed regular season conference championship and marked the first perfect conference record since the 1985 team went 11-0 in the league.

Football Loses Lead Late, Falls 33-24 At Bethel

Holding a 24-20 lead late in the fourth quarter Saturday, the Gustavus football team was not able to maintain the advantage as it allowed a pair of touchdowns in the final four minutes to lose 33-24 at Bethel University. The Gusties drop their second straight road test and now own a 6-2 overall record and 4-2 mark in the MIAC.

Women’s Swimming And Diving Competes At MSU, Mankato

Men’s Hockey Wins Season Opener On Last Minute Goal

The Gustavus men’s hockey team started the 2015-16 season on the right foot with a thrilling 5-4 win over Saint Mary’s on Friday at the MIAC Showcase. With the game tied 4-4 late in the third period, Tim Donohue (So., Bloomington, Minn.) scored the game winning goal with just 25 seconds remaining in the game for the victory.

Football Travels To Bethel Saturday For Final Road Test Of Season

The Gustavus football team travels to Arden Hills, Minn. Saturday for its final road test of the season against Bethel University. The Gusties enter tomorrow's 1 p.m. game with a 6-1 overall record and a 4-1 mark in the MIAC, while the Royals at 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the league.
