Men’s Tennis Falls To No. 14 Williams 7-2

Claremont, Calif. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s tennis team saw its eight-match winning-streak come to an end with a 7-2 loss to No. 14 Williams College on Tuesday afternoon at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center located on the campus of Claremont-Mudd Scripps.  The Ephs swept doubles before picking up wins at the No. 3 through No. 6 singles positions.  Mohanad Al-Houni (Fr., Tripoli, Libya) earned a 6-0, 6-0 win over Alex Schidlovsky at No. 1, and Motasem Al-Houni (Sr., Tripoli, Libya) swept Conrad Harron 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 for Gustavus’s two points.

The Gustavus men’s tennis team’s spring training trip to southern California continues on Friday, April 3 with a 10:00 a.m. match against No. 4 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.  The Gusties will cap the weekend with a 9:30 a.m. match against the top-ranked team in Division III, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, on Saturday, April 4.  Both matches will be contested in Claremont.
