La Crosse, Wis. – Gustavus Adolphus sophomore gymnast Alexandra Kopp (Wayzata, Minn.) finished 12th overall in the all-around and 13th on the balance beam at the 2015 NCGA Championships held over the weekend in UW-La Crosse’s Mitchell Hall. Kopp, who was Gustavus’s lone representative at the two-day meet, scored a 36.875 in the all-around and a 9.025 on the beam.
UW-Whitewater claimed the top two spots of the all-around with Katie Fiorilli winning with a 38.475 and Courtney Picket finishing runner-up with a 38.400. UW-La Crosse’s Amy Enright rounded out the top three in third with a 38.250.
Kopp posted a 9.650 on the vault (8th), 8.200 on the bars (40th), 9.600 on the beam (21st), and a 9.425 on the floor (27th). Kopp’s performances on the vault, beam, and floor were all her best routines the season.
In the balance beam competition on Saturday, the Wayzata product scored a 9.025.
Abby Clark of Springfield claimed the beam title with a score of 9.775. Brockport’s Jennifer Sklenar finished runner-up with a 9.700, and UW-Whitewater’s Steffi Heuer placed third with a 9.675.
