Men’s Tennis Ranked No. 16 In Most Recent ITA Division III Men’s Poll

Skillman, N.J. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s tennis team is ranked No. 16 in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Men’s National Rankings released Tuesday, March 3.  In what is the first top 40 poll released by the ITA inside the 2015 calendar year, the Gusties dropped two places from their No. 14 ranking in the preseason poll released on Oct. 30, 2014.

As the governing body of college tennis, the ITA administers the ITA College Tennis Rankings (Singles, Doubles, and Team) that are designed to track the top men and women teams and singles and doubles players in NCAA Divisions I, II, III, NAIA, Junior Colleges and California Junior Colleges.

The Gustavus men’s tennis team will be back in action this weekend with a pair of matches on Saturday, March 7.  The Gusties will begin the day with an 11:00 a.m. match against UW-Whitewater and then will cap the weekend with a 5:00 p.m. match against St. Olaf College.  Gustavus enters the weekend with an overall record of 5-5- and an MIAC mark of 1-0.
