Women’s Hockey Falls To No. 6 In USCHO Poll, No. 7 In D3

ST. PETER, MINN. – Following a weekend in which they went 1-1-0, the Gustavus women’s hockey team has dropped from No. 5 to No. 6 in the most recent USCHO national poll and from No. 5 to No. 7 in the most recent D3 Hockey poll. The No. 6 ranking in the USCHO poll is the lowest for the Gusties since the week of Nov. 17, 2014 when the team was ranked No. 7.

On Friday, Gustavus fell to then-No. 7 Adrian College 1-0. Saturday, the Gusties defeated Lake Forest College 2-1 in the team’s final non-conference game of the regular season. Adrian has since jumped to No. 5 in both the USCHO and D3 hockey polls.

The Gusties will take on Augsburg College in a home-away series this weekend. Game one with the Auggies will take place on Friday at 7 p.m. in St. Peter, while game two will occur on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Minneapolis.
