ST. PETER, MINN – The Gustavus Adolphus women’s hockey team remained at No. 5 in the most recent USCHO poll released Monday. The Gusties have not played in a game since Dec. 13, 2014 when they defeated then-No. 7 UW-Stevens Point 3-1.
No team ranked inside the top six changed positions. However, Adrian College, Gustavus’s opponent this coming Friday, moved up two spots in the rankings from No. 9 to No. 7 after winning its holiday tournament. UW-Stevens Point, formally ranked No. 7 dropped one position to No. 8 and Amherst College moved up from No. 10 to No. 9. Bowdoin College is the lone new team in the ranks and now owns the No. 10 position in the rankings.
Gustavus will resume game action on Friday when they take on the No. 7 Bulldogs at Don Roberts Ice Rink at 5 p.m.
