MIAC Playoff Title On The Line, Men’s Soccer Set To Battle Saint John’s On Saturday

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s soccer team is set to host Saint John’s University in the MIAC Playoff Championship on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1:00 p.m. on the Gustie Soccer Field.  Gustavus has won its last four matches and is 14-4-1 overall after Wednesday’s 1-0 victory over Carleton in the semifinal round.  The red hot Johnnies are 13-6-0 overall and are in the midst of a seven-match winning-streak, which includes a 4-1 victory over MIAC Champion St. Olaf on Wednesday in Northfield.

The first 100 Gustavus students with school-issued ID will be granted free entry into Saturday’s match.

The MIAC Playoffs champion will receive the postseason championship plaque and the conference’s automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Tournament.
