St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus volleyball team will head back into Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Wednesday, Sept. 24 when it travels to Northfield, Minnesota to face Carleton College at 7:00 p.m.
The Gusties begin a new week with an overall record of 6-8 and an MIAC mark of 1-0 after defeating Waldorf College 3-2 in a non-conference match on Saturday at Gus Young Court. The Knights head into the match with an overall record of 10-3 and an MIAC mark of 0-1 after falling 3-1 to Hamline in their last time out on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

– Alyssa Taylor (Jr., Trimont, Minn.) | Middle hitter Alyssa Taylor is coming off her best offensive performance of the season in Saturday’s win over Waldorf. Given 32 attack opportunities, Taylor hit the floor with 21 kills and made just two errors. She finished with a career-best attack percentage of .594, and has now recorded over 20 kills in two of the last three matches, averaging 16.7 kills over that time-span.
– Camille Benson (Jr., Savage, Minn.) | Defensive specialist Camille Benson has registered 20 or more digs in three of Carleton’s last four matches. She currently ranks second in the MIAC with 263 digs and is averaging 6.12 digs per set. Benson also leads the league with 31 aces.
