St. Peter, Minn. – A total of seven members of the Gustavus Adolphus men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams were named 2014 College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Individual Scholar All-Americans on Friday, July 11. The men’s team was represented by Ross Larson (Jr., Brookings, S.D.) and Jacob Stern (So., Rosemount, Minn.), while the women’s squad was represented by Leah Anderson (So., Apple Valley, Minn.), Danielle Klunk (Jr., Appleton, Wis.), Katie Olson (Jr., North Oaks, Minn.), Jennifer Strom (Jr., Rochester, Minn.), and Alissa Tinklenberg (Sr., Willmar, Minn.).
The Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimmers and divers who have achieved a cumulative, or term grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the academic term coinciding with their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/CCCAA Swimming and Diving Championships and have qualified for and competed at the Championship.
Both the Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams were recently honored as Scholar All-America Teams by the CSCAA.
