Baseball Set To Face Augsburg At Home On Wednesday

St. Peter, Minn. – After weeks of postponements and cancellations, the Gustavus baseball team will finally began its conference season this week with a full docket of league doubleheaders.  The Gusties kicked off the week with a pair of heartbreaking losses at the hands of defending MIAC Champion St. Thomas on Tuesday in St. Paul.  Gustavus fell 2-1 in eight innings in game one and then suffered a 3-2 loss in game two.  Head Coach Mike Carroll’s squad will then host Augsburg at home on Wednesday, April 9 in a twin bill beginning at 2:30 p.m.  Gustavus has a jam-packed weekend in store with a home doubleheader against Saint Mary’s beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, and a road series against Hamline taking place at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul.  Gustavus is currently 3-7 overall and 0-2 in the MIAC.
