Volleyball Announces Plans To Host Alumni Match This Spring

St. Peter, Minn. – Gustavus Adolphus Head Volleyball Coach Rachelle Dosch has announced plans to host the program’s annual Gustavus Alumni Volleyball Match later this spring.  The match will be held on Saturday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m. on the Gus Young Court in Lund Center.  Following the match, the team will host a casual dinner gathering at Patrick’s Bar and Restaurant located on 3rd straight in downtown St. Peter.

To register for the event, please fill out the online form found at https://gustavus.edu/forms/volleyball-alumni-match.  Please respond online by Friday, April 26.

All Gustie volleyball alumni are encouraged to participate and coach Dosch emphasizes that graduation year should not be a factor in your decision.  “The event is meant to be a fun, laid-back celebration of past and present Gustie volleyball players,” said Dosch.  “So, to all of you former Gusties, please take this chance to reunite, reminisce and rise to the occasion in a fun competition on your home court.  All of you have left a little piece of yourself on the Gustie volleyball floor (literally) and you deserve to be recognized and celebrate all that you have given to this program!”

Family members and significant others are also encouraged to join in on the fun.  For more information on the 2013 Gustavus Alumni Volleyball Match, please feel free to email or call Rachelle Dosch at rdosch@gustavus.edu or 507-933-6468.

The Gustavus Adolphus volleyball program is home to four MIAC Championships, 48 All-Conference selections, four All-Americans, and two MIAC Defensive Players-of-the-Year.  The Gusties hold an all-time record of 798-582-11 overall and 171-145 in the MIAC.
