Men’s Golf Takes Silver At Saint John’s Spring Invitational

The Gustavus men’s golf team concluded its 2012 spring campaign with a second place finish at the Saint John’s Spring Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. The Gusties sat in seventh place after day one with a score of 297 and then broke out in day two with a season-low round of 280 to finish with a total of 577 (+9). The 18-hole round of 280 was the lowest recorded by the men’s team since the Gustie Spring Classic in 2004 and the second lowest in program history.

Pitcher Grant Soderberg had a great performance in game one of Sunday afternoon's doubleheader against Saint John's. Soderberg pitched seven innings, giving up two runs on six hits and striking out a career-high 11 batters.

Men’s Tennis Ends Regular Season With 8-1 Victory Over Luther

The Gustavus men’s tennis team concluded its 2012 regular season campaign with an 8-1 victory over Luther College Sunday at the Brown Outdoor Courts in St. Peter, Minn. The 20th-ranked Gusties end the regular season with a 19-7 overall record, while the Norse fall to 21-6.
