Men’s Basketball Sponsoring Food Shelf Night On January 31 Against Macalester

The Gustavus men's basketball game on Monday, January 31 against Macalester College at 7:30 pm will serve as a benefit for the St. Peter Food Shelf. The Gustavus Athletics Department will offer free admission to anyone bringing a non-perishable food item to the game. All items donated at the game will be donated to the St. Peter Food Shelf.

Ruane’s Strong Second Half Lifts Women’s Basketball To 60-58 Victory Over St. Olaf

The Gustavus women's basketball team defeated St. Olaf by the score of 60-58 on Wednesday night in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties were led by Colleen Ruane who turned in a career-high 22 points. Gustavus extends its winning-streak to five games with the victory, improving to 10-7 overall and 9-5 in the MIAC, while St. Olaf falls to 9-8 overall and 6-8 in the MIAC.

Men’s Basketball Falls At St. Olaf, Five-Game Win Streak Snapped

The Gustavus men's basketball team saw its 5-game winning streak snapped with an 80-64 loss to St. Olaf in Northfield on Wednesday night. Seth Anderson led Gustavus in scoring with 14 points.

Men’s & Women’s Nordic Skiers Successfully Wrap Up Mayor’s Challenge

The Gustavus men’s and women’s nordic ski teams both overcame obstacles to post successful finishes in the classic on the final day of competition at the Mayor’s Challenge, which was held on Sunday at Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis, Minn. The men secured a fourth place finish amongst Central Collegiate Ski Association teams while the women finished in sixth place to wrap up a productive weekend for the Gusties.

Men’s Swimming & Diving Wins Grinnell Invitational

The Gustavus men’s swimming and diving team recorded 1312.5 points to win the Grinnell Invitational held Friday and Saturday, Jan 21-22, in Grinnell, Iowa. The Gusties registered 20 individual top-three finishes and five wins in the relay events at the meet. Grinnell College finished second with 1254.5 points, while Luther College took third with 716 points.

Women’s Swimming & Diving Finishes Runner-Up At Grinnell Invite

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s swimming and diving team totaled 984 points to finish runner-up at the two-day Grinnell Invitational held in Grinnell, Iowa on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 21-22. The University of Nebraska at Omaha won the meet with 1176 points, while Luther College rounded out the top-three in third with 812 points.

Women’s Basketball Completes Road Stand With 64-49 Win Over Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus women's basketball team completed a three-game road stand with a 64-49 victory over Saint Mary's on Saturday afternoon in Winona, Minn. Molly Mathiowetz led the way with a game-high 19 points, as Gustavus has won its last four games. Gustavus improves to 9-7 overall and 8-5 in the MIAC, while Saint Mary’s falls to 8-7 overall and 6-6 in the MIAC.

Nordic Skiers Hold Strong On First Day Of Mayor’s Challenge

The men’s and women’s nordic ski teams turned in a set of solid performances at the Mayor’s Challenge SuperTour being held this weekend at Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis, Minn. Competing in the freestyle event on Saturday afternoon, the Gustie women placed sixth amongst the nine Central Collegiate Ski Association teams at the event while the men placed seventh.
