MIAC Football Coaches Select Opdahl, Kruckeberg To All-Conference Team

Gustavus Adolphus sophomore left guard Lyle Opdahl and junior free safety Brad Kruckeburg have been named 2010 MIAC Second Team All-Conference as a part of the 2010 MIAC Football Awards announced Tuesday, Nov. 23 by the league office. The Gusties scored two goals in the first period and three goals in the second on their way to a 6-2 win over Concordia University (Wis.) on Tuesday night. Ben Ceder, Lucas Thompson Named to All-Conference Soccer Team

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2011 Men's Soccer All-Conference Team and Gustavus players Ben Ceder and Lucas Thompson were named to the 20-member honor squad selected by the league coaches. Ceder , a junior midfielder and Thompson a sophomore defender were key contributors to a Gustie squad that finished with a record of 10-5-3 overall and 5-2-3 in league play.

Women’s Tennis Has Strong Showing In ITA Pre-Season Polls

he Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the Division III Central Region pre-season rankings in early November. The ITA named five individual Gustavus tennis players to the top-20 and two doubles teams in the top-10. Gustavus ranks seventh in the ITA Pre-Season National Team Poll.
