Brian Anderson Named MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Field Athlete of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus senior Brian Anderson (Minneapolis, Minn./Bloomington Kennedy) was named MIAC Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Field Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Drake Alternative hosted by Gustavus in St. Peter, Minn. on Saturday. Anderson hit NCAA provisional marks in both the shot put and hammer throw at the meet. Anderson was the top Division III finisher in both events, as he took fourth place in the shot put with a toss of 15.56 meters, and fifth place in the hammer throw with a toss of 54.38 meters. His throws on Saturday currently rank him second in the MIAC in the hammer throw and fourth in the shot put.
The Gustavus men’s outdoor track and field team will compete at the Gustie Invite on Saturday, May 1, at 11:00am in St. Peter, Minn.
