A.J. Olson Named MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus College senior A.J. Olson has been named MIAC Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Bobby Krig Invitational on Sunday and Monday. Olson, a native of White Bear Lake, Minn., finished second individually and recorded the low score for a MIAC golfer with his total of 74-69-72–215 (-1). Olson’s second round score of 69 at Le Sueur Country Club on Monday tied his career best 18-hole round, while his 54-hole total of 215 was the best of his career.
The Gustavus men’s golf team took second at the meet (885), while Saint John’s took first (871). The Gusties will hit the links next on April 24-25 when they compete at the Saint John’s Invitational played at the St. Cloud Country Club and Monticello Country Club.
