The Gustavus women’s tennis team went 2-1 at the Midwest Invitational held April 2-3, in Madison, Wisc.  The Gusties defeated Washington University (Mo.) 7-2 in the opening round of play on Friday.  In the semifinal match later that day, Gustavus suffered a narrow 5-4 loss to the University of Chicago.  Chicago went on to defeat Denison in the Championship match 5-2.  Gustavus edged DePauw University 5-4 to take third place on Saturday.

The Gustavus women’s tennis team will be busy on Saturday, April 10, with matches against Northern State at 9:00am in St. Peter, Minn., Hamline at 10:00am in St. Paul, St. Scholastica at 5:00pm in Lakeville, Minn., and Winona State University at 5:00pm in St. Peter.
