Select members of the Gustavus women’s indoor track and field team took part in the Bethel Open Saturday afternoon in Arden Hills, Minn. Gustavus senior Kaelene Lundstrum led the way with three first place finishes. Lundstrum won the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.88, shot put (39-8 3/4), and high jump after clearing 5 feet, 4 1/4 inches.
Janey Helland provided the only other Gustavus victory by taking the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 4 3/4 inches. Abby Karl and Ali Voss both delivered second place performances with Karl running a 2:26.35 in 800 meter run, and Voss clearing 10-feet in the pole vault. Rounding out the top performances were Megan Lundgren, Janie Briant, and Natalie Ristau. Lundgren placed third in both the 0ne mile run (5:37.14) and long lump (14-1), Briant took third in the 200 meter dash (28.18), and Ristau finished third in the 600 meter dash (1:47.49).
