Women’s Soccer Player Alison Dittmer Named To NSCAA Scholar All-Central Region Team

Gustavus Adolphus College senior defender Alison Dittmer was named National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-Central Region 2nd Team on Friday. Dittmer is a Biochemistry/Molecular Biology major with a GPA of 3.84.

Alison_Dittmer_72Gustavus Adolphus College senior defender Alison Dittmer (Plymouth, Minn./Osseo) was named National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-Central Region 2nd Team on Friday.  Dittmer is a Biochemistry/Molecular Biology major with a GPA of 3.84.

Dittmer is one of seven Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) women’s soccer players to receive academic honors from the NSCAA. To be nominated for consideration, student-athletes must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout their career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team; be nominated by an institution that is a current NSCAA College Services member; be a junior or above in academic standing at the current institution and either be in their second year at the current school if a transfer student.  Most recently, Dittmer was named NSCAA Division III All-North Region Third Team.
