Gustavus first year swimmer Carly Mosher (Great Falls, Mont.) has been named MIAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for her performance in last weekend’s 181.5-118.5 dual meet victory over St. Olaf. Mosher had two relay victories as she led off both the 200 medley relay (1:51.30) and 400 freesyle relay (3:41.00). Both the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay times are the fastest in the MIAC so far this year. Along with the two first place finishes in the relays, Mosher won both the 100 (1:02.04) and 200 (2:10.62) backstroke, giving her a total of four victories on the day. Her time of 2:10.62 in the 200 backstroke is a new pool record and is the fastest time in the MIAC so far this year.
The Gustavus Men’s and Women’s swimming and diving teams will take on St. John’s and Luther College in a triangular on Saturday, Nov. 21st, at 1:00pm in St. Peter, Minn.
