The Gustavus men’s soccer team improved to 7-2-1 overall and 4-1-0 in the MIAC with a come-from-behind 2-1 win at Hamline on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties tied the score at 1-1 on an unassisted goal by Justin Egelseder in the 88th minute and then claimed the win with a goal by Max Malmquist just three minutes into the overtime (93:10).

The Pipers led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Drew Lukas in the 23rd minute.

Gustavus held a slim advantage in shots (7-5), but a significant advantage in corner kicks (9-3). Gustie goalkeeper Luke Strom played all 93 minutes and claimed the win, while Hamline goalkeeper John Moening played all 93 minutes, making two saves and allowing two goals.
