The National Golf Coaches Association announced its 2007-08 awards at the recent NCAA Division III Championships and three Gustavus golfers were honored by the NGCA. Rachel Roberg received First Team All-America honors, while Kali Griggs received Second Team All-America honors and Kimbra Kosak received honorable mention All-America honors. In addition, Roberg, Griggs, and Kosak were named to the Midwest All-Region team. The Gusties are currently in seventh place at the 2008 NCAA Championships being held in Waverly, Iowa.

Senior Rachel Roberg (Rice Lake, Wis.), who played the #1 position, was named the MIAC Senior Player of the Year. She has posted 10 top ten finishes in the 11 tournaments Gustavus competed in during the past season, and did not finish lower than seventh place in those ten finishes. Roberg earned medalist honors at the Midwest Classic last September and received All-State honors with a second place finish at the MWCGA State Tournament. She has posted a stroke average of 79.7 this season. This is the second time Roberg has received All-America and All-Region honors.

Sophomore Kali Griggs (Burnsville, Minn.), who played the #2 position for the Gusties this season, posted four top-five finishes in 11 tournaments including medalist honors at the Wartburg Invitational in September and the MWGCA State Tournament. This is the first time Griggs, who has an 81.2 stroke average, has received an All-America honor and the second time she has been named All-Region.

Junior Kimbra Kosak (Grand Rapids, Minn.), who played the #3 position, received honorable mention All-America honors for the second consecutive season. Kosak turned in five top five finishes this season by finishing third at the Riverport Inn Classic in October and tied for third at the Wartburg Invitational. She has recorded an 81.5 stroke average.
