Special Teams Lift Women’s Hockey Over Saint Benedict 6-0

Special teams played a vital role in the Gustavus women's hockey team 6-0 against Saint Benedict on Wednesday afternoon at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The Golden Gusties scored three power play goals and one short-handed goal to remain undefeated in conference play at 14-0-0 and improve to 19-2-0 overall. The Blazers fell to 4-12-2 overall and 4-8-2 in the MIAC.

Gymnastics Team Posts Season-High Score of 178.60, Finishes Third At University of Minnesota Invitational

The Gustavus women's gymnastics team posted a season high team score of 178.60 and finished third out of four teams at the Best of Minnesota meet hosted by the University of Minnesota. The team posted season high individual event scores on the vault (45.70), the uneven bars (43.6), and the floor exercise (45.825). Kelly Mathewson compiled a season-high all-around total of 35.80.

Women’s Hockey Picks Up 3-0 Win Against Saint Benedict

The Gustavus women's hockey team remained undefeated in the MIAC after picking up a 3-0 win over Saint Benedict on Friday in St. Cloud. The Gusties set a new record for the longest conference unbeaten streak at 13 games with the win as the team improved to 18-2-0 overall and 13-0-0 in the league. Twelve consecutive MIAC wins was the previous record held by the 2001-02 and 2005-06 Gusties. The Blazers fell to 4-11-2 overall and 4-7-2 in the MIAC.

Women’s Basketball Looks Towards Rematch Against St. Thomas

The Gustavus women's basketball team enters Saturday afternoon's contest at 13-7 overall and 12-5 in the MIAC, while St. Thomas comes in at 15-5 overall and 14-3 in conference play. Saturday's game will be broadcast on KNUJ radio 860 AM as well as on the Gustavus website.

Men’s Hockey Scores Five Times In Second Period, Beats Saint John’s 7-3

The Gustavus men's hockey team scored five times in the second period on its way to an impressive 7-3 win over Saint John's at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter on Friday night. Sophomore Cody Mosbeck scored twice to lead Gustavus, while sophomore Jamie Leathers contributed one goal and two assists. Goaltender Josh Swartout picked up the win in the nets.

Men’s Basketball Battles St. Thomas For First Place On Saturday Afternoon

The Gustavus men's basketball team will battle St. Thomas on Saturday with first place in the MIAC at stake. The Gusties enter with a record of 16-4 overall and 12-2 in the MIAC, while the Tommies enter with a mark of 18-3 overall and 14-2 in the MIAC. Edlund and DeWahl Named to All-CCSA Nordic Ski Team

Gustavus Adolphus women's Nordic skiers Laura Edlund (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) and Kathleen DeWahl (Sr., St. Paul, Minn.) have been named to the All-Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) Second Team. Both athletes were selected to the five-member team based on their performances in CCSA Nordic ski competitions this season.

Men’s Basketball Rolls To 93-60 Win Over Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus men's basketball team broke open a tight game with a 20-4 run late in the first half and never looked back on its way to a convincing 93-60 win at Saint Mary's on Wednesday night. The Gusties made 55.6 percent of their shots from the field (40-72) including an identical 20-of-36 from the field in each half. Trevor Wittwer scored 17 points to lead Gustavus to victory.
