Friedrich Named CCSA Women’s Nordic Ski Coach of the Year

Jed Friedrich of Gustavus Adolphus College has been named the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) Women’s Nordic Ski Coach of the Year based on an unanimous vote by CCSA coaches. Friedrich, a fourth-year coach at Gustavus, is a St. Cloud, Minn., native who skied at Northern Michigan University where he graduated from in 2003.

Jed Friedrich of Gustavus Adolphus College has been named the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) Women’s Nordic Ski Coach of the Year based on an unanimous vote by CCSA coaches. Friedrich, a fourth-year coach at Gustavus, is a St. Cloud, Minn., native who skied at Northern Michigan University where he graduated from in 2003. Three Gustie skiers, including Laura Edlund, Kathleen DeWahl, and Kelly Chaudoin, are currently in position to qualify for the NCAA Collegiate Skiing Championships. Only one skier from Gustavus has qualified for the national championships prior to this season.

Friedrich is also the head men’s Nordic skiing coach and the head men’s and women’s cross country coach at Gustavus.
