The Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming and diving program increased its number of MIAC-best times in the pool as of November 26, 2007. Matt Stewart (Jr., Burnsville, Minn.) has the three fastest times in the 100 freestyle (47.42), 200 freestyle (1:44.35), and 200 butterfly (1:56.17). Carrie Gundersen (So., Minnetonka, Minn.) owns the top times so far in the 500 freestyle (5:22.51) and 1000 freestyle (10:55.63).
On the women’s side, Anika Erickson (Fy., Milaca, Minn.) has the fastest 200 breaststroke time of the season at 2:30.20, while Emma Espel (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) owns the fastest 100 butterfly time at 1:02.77.
On the men’s side, Skylar Davis (So., Palatine, Ill.) has the fastest 1000 freestyle time of the season at 9:46.34, while Whitaker Davis (Fr., Palatine, Ill.) swam the fastest 500 freestyle at 4:43.55. Both the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay teams have the fastest times this season at 1:27.60 and 3:13.81, respectively. Members of the 200 freestyle relay team include Stewart, Clement Auyeung (Jr., North Mankato, Minn.), Ben Hanson (Sr., Minnetonka, Minn.), and Tyler Wakefield (Jr., Hutchinson, Minn.). Members of the 400 freestyle relay team include Stewart, Whitaker Davis, Connor Ziegler (Sr., Sauk Rapids, Minn.), and Billy Cuevas (Jr., Woodbury, Minn.).
