400 Medley Relay Team Places 13th On First Day of NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships

The Gustavus women’s swimming and diving team is in 31st place after the first day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships which are being held at the University of Houston. The 400 medley relay team of Christi O’Connor, Sarah Koepp, Yoshi Ludwig, and Sara Pfau placed 13th with a time of 3:59.64.

The 400 medley relay team of Christi O’Connor, Sarah Koepp, Yoshi Ludwig, and Sara Pfau placed 13th with a time of 3:59.64.

First year performer Carrie Gundersen swam the 500 free and finished 33rd with a time of 5:12.96 and the 200 free relay team placed 18th with a time of 1:40.98.

The meet will continue on Friday with the preliminaries beginning at 9:00 am. The Gusties 200 medley relay team. which is seeded fifth heading into the meet with a time of 1:47.84, will lead off the morning session. Yoshi Ludwig will swim in the 100 butterfly prelims and Sarah Koepp will swim in the 100 breast stroke.
