Men’s Golf Closes Fall Season With Tenth Place Finish at Oglethorpe Invitational

The Gustavus Adolphus men's golf team closed out its fall season with a tenth place finish at the Oglethorpe Fall Classic in Flowery Branch, Ga. The Gusties posted rounds of 308 and 307 for a 615 team score. Defending NCAA Division III champion Methodist took the team title after shooting 290-295--585. The 12-team field featured 10 teams ranked in the most recent GCAA/Bridgestone Division III Coaches Poll.

Men’s Soccer Defeats Bethel 5-2, Earns Share of MIAC Regular Season Title

The Gustavus men's soccer team defeated Bethel University 5-2 on Saturday afternoon and earned a share of the MIAC regular season title with St. John's. The Gusties, who have now shared three consecutive MIAC regular season titles, finished with a league mark of 9-1-0.

Men’s Cross Country Finishes Eighth at MIAC Championships, deLaubenfels Earns All-Conference Honors

The Gustavus men's cross country team finished eighth out of 12 teams at the MIAC Championships which were held Saturday afternoon at Como Park Golf Course in St. Paul, Minn. The Gusties were led by junior Chris deLaubenfels, who placed 14th and sophomore Dan Foley, who finished 17th.

The Gustavus women's cross country team finished fourth at the MIAC Cross Country Championships held on Saturday afternoon at Como Park Golf Course in St. Paul, Minn. The Gusties were led by Hailey Harren, who won her second consecutive individual title and Sara Bernhardson, who placed seventh.

Football Holds on for 41-27 Victory over Augsburg in Final Game at Gustavus Stadium

The Gustavus Adolphus football team closed out Gustavus Stadium with a 41-27 victory over Augsburg Saturday in the final game to be played on the site. The Gusties led 34-0, but the Auggies scored four straight possessions in the second half to cut the lead to 34-27 before Jordan Stolp connected with high school teammate Tom Johnson on a 10-yard touchdown strike with 3:22 to play. Gustavus improves to 4-4 on the season, 2-4 in the MIAC, while Augsburg drops to 0-8 overall, 0-6 in the league.

Women’s Soccer Tops Bethel 2-0 in Season Finale

The Gustavus Adolphus women's soccer capped off its 2006 season with a 2-0 win over Bethel University on Saturday in Arden Hills. Seniors Liz Peterson and Amy Larson each scored a goal in their final collegiate games. The Gusties finish the year on a three-game winning streak and end up at 8-8-2 overall, 5-4-2 in the MIAC.

Football to Host Augsburg in Final Game at Gustavus Stadium

The Gustavus Adolphus football team welcomes Augsburg College to Lloyd Hollingsworth Field Saturday for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup. Saturday's game, the season's home finale, also marks the final game ever at the current Hollingsworth Field. The Gusties enter the game with a record of 3-4 overall, 1-4 in the MIAC, while Augsburg enters with a mark of 0-7 overall and 0-5 in the MIAC.

Men’s Soccer Defeats Augsburg 1-0 in Overtime

The Gustavus men's soccer team kept its conference title hopes alive with a thrilling 1-0 win over Augsburg in Minneapolis in overtime on Wednesday night. Flynn Stewart-Franzen scored the game-winning goal with an assist from Neil Nelson just two minutes into the first overtime. The Gusties are now 8-1-0 in league play and tied for first place with Saint John's.
