The Gustavus men's and women's track and field teams hosted the 4th Annual Lee Krough Invitational on Saturday. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate as heavy rains fell for almost the entire day. Full results are available.
The first round of the Carleton Invitational was not completed on Saturday due to darkness. Competition will begin at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow to complete the first round and the second round will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Gustavus Adolphus College came from eight strokes down to win the Buena Vista University men's golf classic on Saturday. The 36-hole tournament concluded with Saturday's round at the Lake Creek Country Club.
The Gustavus women's tennis team extended its record to 21-2 overall and 5-0 in the MIAC with a 9-0 win over the College of St. Catherine on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties won the match in convincing fashion as they did not drop a set and lost only 18 games in the nine matches. The team will play at St. Thomas at noon and Macalester at 6 pm tomorrow (4/17).
The Gustavus men's tennis team defeated its third Division I opponent of the season by claiming a 4-3 win over the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in Milwaukee, Wisc. The Gusties improved to 18-4 overall with the win.
The Gustavus men's tennis team defeated Hamline University 5-4 at the Swanson Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties improve to 18-5 overall and 7-0 in the MIAC.
The Gustavus women's tennis team defeated Hamline University 9-0 in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match played in the Swanson Tennis Center on Saturday. The Gusties are now 20-2 overall and 4-0 in the MIAC.
The Gustavus baseball doubleheader with Augsburg and the softball doubleheader with Bethel have been postponed due to rain. The baseball game has been moved to Sunday (4/17) at 1 pm, while the softball game has been moved to Monday (4/18) at 4 pm.
The Gustavus men's golf team compiled a score of 291 after one round of golf at the Buena Vista Classic on Friday. The Gusties are currently in fourth place with 18-holes remaining. The final round of golf will take place at the Lake Creek Country Club in Storm Lake, Iowa.
The entry list is now available for the fifth annual Lee Krough Invitational. The invite will take place on Saturday, April 16 with the field events beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the running events will begin at 12:30 p.m. Eight men's teams and 12 women's teams will compete at the meet featuring Division I, II and III student-athletes.
