The Gustavus women’s gymnastics team will open its 2005 home schedule this Friday, January 14 at 7 p.m. against defending national champion U-W LaCrosse. The opener is made all that more special due to the fact that Gustavus is now a member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) along with U-W LaCrosse. The Gusties, along with Hamline and Winona State, have joined U-W LaCrosse, U-W Stout, U-W Oshkosh, U-W Eau Claire, and U-W Whitewater to increase the number of teams in the WIAC in gymnastics to eight.
