Women’s Hockey Falls to UW-Stevens Point 5-1
The Gustavus women's hockey team had its six-game winning streak snapped with a surprising 5-1 loss at UW-Stevens Point on Sunday afternoon. The #2 ranked Gusties had beaten the #5 ranked Pointers 6-4 earlier this season.
Men’s Basketball Posts Important 90-80 Win Over St. Thomas
The Gustavus men's basketball team climbed to the top of the MIAC standings by holding off St. Thomas by the score of 90-80 at Gus Young Court in St. Peter Monday night. Andrew Olson led the Gusties with a career high 27 points.
Women’s Swimming & Diving Defeats Saint Benedict 156-141
The Gustavus women's swimming & diving team defeated Saint Benedict 156-141 on Saturday in Collegeville. The Gusties claimed one relay event and eight of the 14 individual events to win the dual meet.
Women’s Basketball Gains Key Road Victory 57-48 Over St. Thomas
The Gustavus women's basketball team made 8 of 10 free throws down the stretch to pull away for a 57-48 victory over St. Thomas on Monday night. Bri Monahan had 18 points and 12 rebounds to record her fourth double-double of the season.
Men’s Swimming Defeats Saint John’s 177-111
The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team defeated Saint John's University 177-111 on Saturday in Collegeville, Minn. Coach Jon Carlson's squad claimed one relay event title and nine of the 14 individual event titles.
Women’s Basketball Overcomes Five-Point Halftime Deficit to Defeat St. Kate’s 77-65
The Gustavus women's basketball team went on a 18-3 run in the second half to overcome a five-point halftime deficit and capture a 77-65 win over St. Kate's. Bri Monahan scored a career high 29 points and grabbed 10 boards to lead the Gusties.
Men’s Hockey Defeats Saint Mary’s 8-1
The Gustavus men's hockey team defeated Saint Mary's 8-1 on Friday night in Winona, Minn. Seven different players scored as the Gusties improved their overall record to 7-9-0 and 4-3-0 in the MIAC.
Men’s Hockey Sweeps Saint Mary’s
The Gustavus men's hockey team defeated Saint Mary's 4-2 to complete the conference series sweep. Mike Hosfield, Adam Meyer, Kyle Menken and Keith Detlefsen were the goal scorers for Gustavus.
Men’s Hockey to Host JV Tournament Saturday and Sunday
The Gustavus Adolphus College men's junior varsity hockey team wil host the annual MIAC junior varsity tournament on Saturday, January 29 and Sunday, January 30. The teams competing are Gustavus, Augsburg, Saint John's and Saint Mary's.
Indoor Track Opens Season with Solid Performances
The Gustavus men's and women's track and field teams opened the 2005 indoor season with a triangular meet in the Lund Center Fieldhouse. Joining Gustavus at the meet were Macalester and Martin Luther. There were no team scores kept.
